2012 Porsche 911 Targa

The Targa model returns to the Porsche lineup. The Targa concept dates to 1966 and features a sliding glass roof panel that opens up the roof of the car without compromising the body structure to the same degree as a convertible. The Targa will be offered exclusively with all-wheel-drive. A 3.6L 6-cylinder powers the 911 Targa 4, whereas a 3.8L 6-cylinder powers the 911 Targa 4S. Both models are offered with a choice of six-speed manual or 5-speed automatic with Tiptronic shift input.

2012 Porsche Boxster

The Boxster serves as the Porsche's entry-level vehicle. The Boxster is a mid-engined roadster powered by a flat-six engine. Two variations are offered: Boxster and Boxster S. The Boxsters 2.9L produces 255-bhp, whereas the 3.4L in the Boxster S produces 310. Both models are available with either a manual transmission or an optional 7-speed dual clutch manual. Large tires and standard stability control help keep the Boxster centered. A power-operated top retracts in 12 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph. A host of upgrades are available including an optional active suspension system and composite brake discs. The Boxster is great for spirited top-down motoring and is the most cost-effective path to Porsche ownership.

2012 Porsche Cayman

The Cayman is a new lower-priced coupe for the Porsche lineup. Although derived from the Boxster, the Cayman features a higher price tag placing it above the Boxster and below the 911 in the lineup. Two models are offered: Cayman and Cayman S. The Cayman is powered by a 2.9L 6-cylinder whereas the Cayman S is equipped with a larger 3.4L engine providing an additional 55 hp.
