Although Suzuki offered larger vehicles made by Daewoo in the past, the Kizashi is their first mid-size car designed and built in house. Marketed as a mid-size, the Kizashi is on the smaller side of the segment with dimensions closer to the Honda Civic than the Toyota Camry. A 180-bhp, 2.4l four-cylinder engine is standard on all models. Most models are equipped with a CVT, but a six-speed manual is available. One item that sets the Kizashi apart is the availability of all-wheel-drive. Most of the sales leaders only offer front-wheel-drive. The AWD system has a differential lock to enhance traction at low speed on slippery surfaces. The closest vehicles in size to the SX4 Crossover are the Nisan Juke and the Mini Countryman.
2012 Suzuki SX4 Sedan
The SX4 sedan is Suzuki's entry in the compact car segment. At 176.8 inches long, the SX4 is somewhere between a smaller sedan like the Kia Rio and larger models like the Honda Civic. With a 2.0L inline-4 coupled to a 5-speed manual or CVT transmission, the SX4 Sport has a better power-to-weight ratio than many of its competitors. Trim levels range from the base model to the Sport SE model. The Sport SE includes a body aero kit and standard navigation system for about $19,000.
